Visual Basic.Net Programmer
A programmer is required to assist development of accounting system based applications. No experience
of Visual Basic.Net is required, although some knowledge of any .Net language or Visual Basic 5 or 6 would be
of an advantage. No accounting experience is required, but the person must have basic numeracy skills.
What is required is someone who can methodically develop and test a system based on formal specifications.
You are likely to have been programming for a while, even if as a hobby or at college and
not necessarily in a business environment.
All training required to use the programming tools for the Sage 200 business / accounting suite will be given
during the training / probationary period. Final salary at the end of this period will depend on
ability
You will be working within a home environment in Adlington, close to Chorley, in Lancashire, and
may occasionally be required to work from you own home, so a basic computer with broadband
internet access will be required.
Every project is different, and hence each new day brings a new challenge. Accounting systems may not hold such
'fun' as programming games, but developing business systems can be just as rewarding seeing your system
in use by a real company that gain so much from the system you've written.
